Step out of Hanoi’s Old Quarter and trade the familiar city streets for a ride into the Red River countryside. In a classic Vietnam People’s Army Legend Jeep, your professional local guide and skilled driver lead you through lively backstreets, across the river, and past vegetable farms, small villages, and green fields. The pace shifts from urban bustle to village lanes as you make your way to Bat Trang, a ceramic village known for its pottery tradition. Visit a local family’s home for tea, hear how village life and the handicraft industry are changing, and try your hand at a pottery class with a local artisan. Along the way, your guide shares stories of the area and the changes shaping life beyond Hanoi’s center. The tour also includes a local meal of bún chả and Hanoi egg coffee. With morning and afternoon departures, this half-day Jeep trip pairs hands-on craft, local encounters, and open-air views for a memorable look at Hanoi and Bat Trang.
