Hanoi Jeep Tour – Ba Vi National Park & Duong Lam Ancient Village

Leave Hanoi’s busy streets behind and head west in an open-air Jeep for a full-day journey through the countryside around Ba Vi. As the city gives way to villages and green rice fields, your local guide will share stories about the places and communities along the route. The drive leads to Ba Vi National Park, where forested mountain slopes offer a striking change of scenery from the Red River Delta below. Visit the remains of a French-era church, then take a walk through the forest and climb toward the Ho Chi Minh Temple on the mountain. The uphill section rewards you with a sense of being high above the surrounding landscape, with wide views across the mountains and, on a clear day, toward Hanoi. After lunch at a local restaurant, continue to Duong Lam Ancient Village. Walk among its laterite houses and quiet lanes, and learn how the village preserves the character of traditional life in northern Vietnam. Itinerary

Hotel pick-up and safety briefing
Your guide and driver will meet you at your hotel in Hanoi’s Old Quarter or at an agreed meeting point. After a short safety briefing, set off by Jeep toward Ba Vi.

Drive through the countryside
Leave the city behind and follow rural roads through villages and rice fields. The scenery changes as you travel west, with farmland and mountain views replacing Hanoi’s busy streets.

Visit Ba Vi National Park
Explore the forested park and stop at the remains of a French-era church. Take time to walk through the surrounding woodland and hear your guide’s account of the area’s history.

Hike to the Ho Chi Minh Temple
Continue up the mountain, then make the uphill walk to the temple. The climb is part of the experience, so comfortable walking shoes are recommended. From the summit, take in the mountain landscape and, if visibility is good, views across the surrounding area.

Lunch at a local restaurant
Take a break for lunch at a local restaurant before continuing the journey. Please confirm whether lunch is included in the tour price.

Explore Duong Lam Ancient Village
Walk through the village’s lanes and see its distinctive laterite houses. Your guide will introduce the architecture and stories that make Duong Lam a notable example of northern Vietnam’s rural heritage. Some houses in the village are hundreds of years old.
