These terms apply to overnight cruise bookings in Ha Long Bay, Lan Ha Bay, and Bai Tu Long Bay arranged by Vietnam Premium Voyages (VPV).
VPV works with different cruise operators, and some services and arrangements vary by vessel. The policies below set out VPV’s general standard. If VPV confirms a more favorable rate or condition for your specific booking in writing, that offer will apply to your booking.
Your booking is confirmed when VPV sends written confirmation showing the selected cruise, travel date, cabin category, number of guests, price and payment terms.
Please check your confirmation carefully and let us know promptly if any details need correcting. The person making the booking is responsible for sharing the relevant booking information and these terms with all guests included in the reservation.
Requests to change a confirmed booking are subject to availability and the applicable cruise conditions. VPV will advise you of any additional charges before confirming a change.
The price, currency, and inclusions and exclusions for your cruise are stated in your quotation or booking confirmation. Please review these details before making payment.
Child supplements, extra-bed or cot charges, holiday surcharges, and optional services may not be included in the initial total. Where applicable, VPV will confirm these charges separately. They must be paid according to the payment instructions provided for your booking.
Any special conditions attached to a promotional rate will be shared with you before your booking is confirmed.
The following is VPV’s general child pricing standard for overnight cruises:
Children under 4 years old: One child per cabin may share the existing bed with their parent(s) at no additional charge.
Additional children under 4 years old: 75% of the adult rate applies.
Children aged 4–9: 75% of the adult rate applies.
Children aged 4–9 sharing a cabin with one adult: The adult rate applies.
Children aged 10 and above: The adult rate applies.
Child rates remain subject to the cabin’s maximum occupancy. Please tell us the ages of all children when enquiring so we can confirm the correct cabin setup and total price.
Extra beds, child beds, cots, and cribs must be requested in advance. They are subject to availability and confirmation by the cruise operator. Related supplements may be payable separately and may not be included automatically in the booking total.
If a more favorable child rate or arrangement is available for your selected cruise, VPV will confirm it in writing as part of your booking.
All guests must provide accurate information required for cruise registration and port clearance. Please submit the requested details at least 24 hours before check-in, or earlier if stated in your booking instructions. These details may include:
Full name as shown on the travel document
Date of birth
Gender
Nationality
Passport number
Vietnam visa expiry date, where applicable
Late or inaccurate information may delay passenger registration or affect boarding.
Check-in times, meeting points, and boarding instructions vary by cruise. Please follow the details in your booking confirmation and arrive on time. Late arrival may result in missed boarding. An alternative transfer, if available, may involve an additional charge.
Please inform VPV of dietary restrictions at least 48 hours before check-in. We will pass your request to the cruise operator and do our best to help with the arrangements.
Food ingredients and preparation practices vary by vessel. A dietary request is not confirmed until VPV or the cruise operator has confirmed it in writing. If you have a severe allergy or medical dietary requirement, please tell us before booking and remind the cruise staff before meals are served.
Please also tell VPV in advance about mobility needs, medical conditions, or other requirements that could affect your comfort or safety on board. Facilities and assistance vary by vessel, and we can check the available arrangements for the cruise you are considering.
Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing. The cancellation date is the date the written request is received by VPV or the cruise operator, as applicable.
VPV’s general cancellation charges are:
30 days or more before departure: No cancellation fee.
15–29 days before departure: 30% cancellation fee.
9–14 days before departure: 50% cancellation fee.
5–8 days before departure: 70% cancellation fee.
0–4 days before departure, or if no written notice is received before departure: 100% cancellation fee.
Any refund due after cancellation will be handled according to the payment and refund arrangements confirmed for your booking.
Cruise departures and routes depend on weather, sea conditions, and instructions from the relevant port or local authorities. Sailing may be delayed, changed, shortened or cancelled at short notice if conditions affect passenger safety or if the authorities restrict or suspend operations.
If an overnight cruise is cancelled or shortened, the arrangement for your selected vessel will apply. Depending on the official decision and the services already provided, the cruise operator may offer an alternative permitted day cruise, a bay visit, meals or transportation, a shortened itinerary, rescheduling, or a refund or adjustment under the applicable cruise policy.
Available options, rates and refund terms vary by vessel and by the circumstances of the cancellation. VPV will share the applicable arrangements as soon as the information is available and help answer any questions about the options for your booking.
Unavoidable events may include severe weather, natural disasters, fire, flooding, war, civil unrest, terrorism, industrial disputes, epidemics or pandemics, or an order or restriction issued by a competent authority.
If an event affects your cruise, the operator may need to delay, change, shorten or cancel the service. The available arrangements and any refund or adjustment will follow the applicable policy for your selected cruise and the services that can safely be provided. VPV will share updates as promptly as possible and help you understand the options available.
Cruise itineraries, routes, activities, timings, and facilities may change due to weather, sea conditions, port instructions, operational requirements, or safety considerations. The cruise operator will make operational decisions and advise guests of relevant changes.
Cabin layouts, photographs, and descriptions are provided as a guide. Your confirmed cabin category and included services are those stated in your booking confirmation. Specific views, wildlife sightings and weather conditions cannot be guaranteed.
For everyone’s safety, guests must follow instructions from the captain, crew, cruise staff, and relevant authorities throughout the journey.
If a guest chooses not to use an included service or misses it after the cruise has proceeded as scheduled, no refund or exchange will be made for that unused service, except where the applicable cruise policy or law provides otherwise.
This section does not replace the bad-weather and cruise-cancellation arrangements described above.
Guests are responsible for bringing valid travel documents and meeting Vietnam’s entry requirements. Please check that your passport and visa, where required, are valid for your trip.
VPV recommends arranging suitable travel insurance before departure, including coverage for medical expenses, trip cancellation, delays, and personal belongings.
Every cruise is a little different. If you have questions about a particular vessel, cabin, child rate, dietary request, tour, or service, please contact VPV before booking. We’ll be glad to check the details with the cruise operator and help you understand the arrangements.
For questions or updates after booking, contact us using the details in your booking confirmation. If you need assistance during check-in or the cruise, follow the contact instructions provided for your booking and notify the cruise staff as soon as possible.
